It all happens in one night- Saturday Aug. 2, 2008 from 5-8 pm, Seaside area galleries and stores invite the public to mingle with artists during Seaside’s First Saturday Art Walk which is coordinated monthly by the Seaside Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by The Reserve at Gearhart and Seaside-Sun.Com who give a monthly on line review of the walk and some of the works featured. Maps are available at any location with an “Art Stop” sign out front on Sat. evening or download from the “Art Walk” page on www.seasidechamber.com

What’s showing off Broadway:
Goose Hollow at the Cove 220 Ave U/ 717-1940 Work by Portland based Artists Todd and Karen Van Horne will be featured in this special show with proceeds from all sales being donated to buy books for the Seaside Library. Todd is a creative director at Nike and a fine artist Karen makes hand built ceramics and glass pieces for fundraising events. Karen's family has owned a beach cabin in Seaside since 1910. Karen and Todd were married on Seaside beach in 1992. They now own the cabin and absolutely love spending time in Seaside with our children Allee and Quinn and our dog Quarter. The family loves reading and are so excited about using our Art and creativity to help raise funds for the new Seaside library.
Beginning at 7pm live music by Jason Lambert, an acoustic singer/songwriter based in Astoria who has played in numerous bands of varied genre and is an accomplished solo artist.. His debut album was released July 2007 under indie record label Sketchd Out Records. Jason's music can best be described as a blend of acoustic, alternative rock and heartfelt vocal stylings. There is no cover charge.

C by the Sea -2305 S Roosevelt/ 738-8101Local artist, Darla Reed, will be unveiling a new painting. She will also be signing ‘Numbered Limited Editions' copies of a new book titled, ‘Artist of the West', which she and two other of C by the SEA artists are featured in. This is a beautiful coffee table book containing, ‘A Collection of works by notable artist throughout the western United States'. We will also be introducing two new artists; Wood-N-Antlers by Lenny Cheyney, from Seaside; Photo Artist Ray Propst, from Astoria. Ray Price will be catering this special Art Walk. Come socialize and meet the artists.
