SEARC and STARS Join Forces to Raise Funds to Upgrade Equipment
|
The Clatsop County Amateur Radio clubs, both the Sunset Empire Amateur Radio Club (SEARC) and the Seaside Tsunami Amateur Radio Society (STARS) will be holding a combined First Annual Fund Raiser Dinner.
This will be an ALL YOU CAN EAT SPAGHETTI FEED DINNER, being held to help replace equipment damaged during the December 2007 Storm and to upgrade existing equipment to better handle similar emergencies in the future.
The dinner will be held on Friday, May 30th, 2008 (which is the Friday evening of the 26th annual Sea-Pac Ham Radio conference in Seaside, the largest Ham Radio Conference in the Northwest).
The dinner will be held from 5PM to 8:30PM at the Seaside Fire Hall, 150 S. Lincoln, Seaside. there will be door prizes, raffles, and a silent auction, with both amateur radio-related and non-amateur radio related prizes available.
There will also be several information booths, as well as capabilities and demonstration booths - attempt to contact or send a message to someone anywhere in the world, for free!
