The fun begins in downtown Long Beach in front of Marsh\'s Free Museum, with a fabulously family-style birthday party.

Show your party bling, chow on cake and ice-cream, play Pin-the-Scale-on-the-Reptile, enter the “Jake: The Early Years” story contest, Bride of Jake Costume Contest, and enjoy the day.

 

In the grown-up area, strut your stuff at the mini Haiku d’tat, enjoy a burlesque show, Low Brow Art and Body Art Shows, and, in the evening, enjoy entertainment by DINGO and SNOW BUD (psychedelic garage punk).

Circus side show costumes are encouraged all day long.  Other ad-hoc Jake-style fun, frivolity, and freakiness to be had Peninsula-wide.
